WEEKEND SPINS

 

Good sized spins took place over the weekend.

 

Saturday saw the group head to Cappoquin, Aglish, Clashmore and home. Sunday’s group headed to Bonmahon and Kill before going across to Kilmacthomas and home through Mahon Bridge.

 

Out cycling were Dzintar’s Klava, Keith Walsh, Michael Keane, Mark Power (DMCC), Mark Power (DCC), Frank Browne, Siobhan Dunphy, Vincent Feeny, Pat O’Driscoll, Liam Rossitor, Michael Moloney, Pádraig de Búrca and Emma Walsh.

 

Weekend spins will continue to meet at John Foley’s Kilrush on Saturday and The Square on Sunday, both at 9.30am.

 

BEGINNERS WELCOME

The group is open to all new cyclists; both speed & distance are agreed on the morning of cycles. Come along with your bike (racing or mountain), helmet, food, water and just a little enthusiasm. Support and advice will be given.

 

COMMITTEE MEETING

 

The next meeting will take place in Minnie’s at 8:00pm on Monday December 3rd.

Saturday saw the group head to Lismore, Tallow, Youghal bridge and home. Sunday’s group headed to Lismore, Ballyduff, Tallow, Camphire and home through Cappoquin.

 

Out cycling were Mark Power (DMCC), Mark Power (DCC), Dzintar’s Klava, Keith Walsh, Keith Radley, Damian Travers, Enda Donnelly, Michael Keane, Colin Organ, Davey Tobin, Michael ‘Banner’ Whelan, Frank O’Rourke, Siobhan O’Mahony, Vincent Feeny, Pat O’Driscoll, Justin Coonan and some visitors to the club Brian Taffe, Julie O’Hagan, Jenny Faye and Henry Crowley.

2008 CALENDAR ANNOUNCED

 

The recent Committee meeting finalised the 2008 Calendar of events for the Dungarvan Credit

Union Cycling Club. As all will see below it is a full schedule with events for all standards of

cyclists; beginners, leisure and competitive.

bridge.

Frank O’Rourke, Mark Radley, Michael ‘Banner’ Whelan, Pat O’Driscoll, Enda Donnelly,

WEEKEND SPINS

 

Good sized weekend spins took place in excellent weather for November.

 

Saturday saw the group split in two with some cyclists taken a longer route to Carrick,

Clonmel, Ballymacarbry and home with the remainder heading down the coast road to

Bonmahon and Kill across to Kilmacthomas and home through Mahon Bridge.  

 

Out cycling were Siobhan O’Mahony, Emma Walsh, Pat O’Driscoll, Michael Keane, Richie

Power, Frank Browne, Enda Donnelly (just back from a long injury layoff), Dzintar’s Klava,

Michael Moloney, Keith Walsh, and Keith Radley.

 

The club would also like to extend congratulations to long standing club member Mark

Power on his recent marriage to Jacqui Young. Well done and all the best for the future.
