ROSSITER’S QUALITY MEATS TO SPONSOR FIRST COMPETITION OF THE YEAR

Local Butcher and Club Member, Liam Rossiter has kindly offered to sponsor the first competition of the year- the Individual Predict your Time Competition commencing on April 11th for four weeks. This competition commences in a little over a month. Liam joined the club in 2006 and since that time has become an active member. The Committee would like to extend its thanks to Liam Rossiter as well as all our other sponsors who make our competitive programme such a success.

GOOD SUPPORT FOR CLUB’S WEEKEND SPINS

Large groups of cyclists are out cycling each weekend, no doubt in preparation for the forthcoming season. Saturday saw a group cycle to Cappoquin, Clashmore and Ardmore, whilst Sunday’s cyclists travelled all over the place: some to Lismore, some to The Vee, and others to Camphire Bridge. Venturing out were Enda Donnelly, Frank Browne, Tony Murray, Pat O’Driscoll, Siobhan Dunphy, Richie Power, Liam Rossiter, Eddie Hickey, and Mark Power.

BEGINNERS GROUP

Newcomers are welcome to join the group. The Dungarvan Credit Union Cycling Club has set up a roster of club members to accompany anyone wishing to start cycling. All you need is a bike and some enthusiasm. A Committee member will travel with anyone interested for any distance and at a slow pace to introduce them to the pleasure of cycling. Spins will set out from The Square on Sundays at 10am, but will be separate from the usual group. Come along and enjoy the sport.

Next weeks group, Sunday 4th March, will be led by Siobhan O’Mahony, so come along with bike, helmet and some food and water.
